WANDERER

When I was a younger child,

Mother always warned,

"Don't wander too far!

The Gypsies will take you away!"

And now I sit in my gardens,

Surrounded by Bittersweet

And the Rose of Sharon

And I wonder;

Have I traveled too far

Far them to find me,

Or not yet

Far enough ?
